Silver Bayonet - Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!

October has officially come and gone, and I have to admit I didn’t manage to post a single time. Worse still, I think I only made it out for one tabletop game all month!

Life has been a bit demanding lately. I started an online certification course in conjunction with the National Payroll Institute and a local CEGEP, and it has eaten up far more time than I care to admit. However, I do have some photos saved up, and my plan is to catch up on some proper postings over the next couple of weeks.

Silver Baynoet Purchases made at CanGames

Back in May, I wrote about taking part in a Silver Bayonet game at CanGames. I already happen to own a collection of North Star’s MTB06 – Spanish Irregulars (Napoleonic Wars), I recently went ahead and purchased the Spanish unit pack from a dealer at the convention. My thought is that they’ll make a fantastic narrative backdrop and visual addition for my Silver Bayonet force.

Spanish Unit Painted

I was fortunate enough that Graham was willing to paint them up for me. Since he also painted my other figures, I was really hoping to maintain a consistent style across the collection. As always, Graham knocked it out of the park and did a fantastic job with them. I have one figure left to do, the Spanish priest that I already started and didn't past onto Graham.

I’ll be sharing some pictures of the finished irregulars soon, so stay tuned for the next update!

And now a little fun from Monty Python

We have put together a typical Spanish Unit for you to use in The Silver Bayonet.

TSB002 - The Spanish Unit

The figures represent:

Your Officer,

A Sapper,

An Infantryman,

An Artilleryman,

A Guerrilla,

A Champion of the Faith,

A Swordsman,

A Vetern Hunter,

All figures are 28mm sized, made of metal and supplied unpainted.
